The Hazard Communication standard gives workers the right to understand about the chemical hazards on their job and ways to protect themselves. The Hazard Communication standard is now enhanced with the Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labeling of Chemicals, better known as the GHS. This standardization will reduce confusion in the workplace, help prevent injuries and illnesses, and ultimately, save lives.
